Martin Edwards is Chief Scientist at the Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science (SAHFOS) and Professor of Ocean Ecology at the University of Plymouth. He has over 20 years experience in research on climate/environmental change impacts on marine ecosystems. He and his colleagues were some of the first to demonstrate marine biodiversity distributional and phenological changes and whole ecosystem regime shifts in response to climate change. He has written over 150 publications including peer-reviewed papers, book chapters and policy related reports and assessments. He sits on numerous national and international working groups involved in marine observations and assessments.
